Ask any CEO, CTO, or board member and they’ll tell you the same thing: We’re working on AI. Pilots are underway, a transformation narrative gets rehearsed in board meetings, and there’s a general sense of forward motion. What most leadership teams don’t have is an honest, evidence-based read on where they actually stand.
Senior leaders should have a clear view of where their business operations are already set to take advantage of AI and where they should invest in changes to accelerate business outcomes.
That is the problem PwC’s AI Readiness Assessment is built to solve. Not a checklist. A full organizational diagnostic operated by PwC assessing the current state of play through senior leader interviews and benchmarking progress against PwC’s unique insights.
The assessment leverages data gathered over 12 enterprise domains and benchmarks from PwC’s AI benchmarking compendium — proprietary data from 500+ organizations — to propose high impact decisions from the first session.
What the assessment produces:
- A quantified maturity score. A 0–100 readiness score, with each point traceable to specific responses from the leadership team. Not a survey estimate but a scored, auditable baseline.
- A domain-by-domain gap diagnosis. Each of the 12 enterprise dimensions, from strategic vision and data governance to talent, risk, and business model resilience, is independently scored, with AI-generated narrative synthesis reviewing the drivers.
- Industry benchmarking. Each score is positioned against PwC’s AI benchmarking compendium, proprietary data from over 500 organizations across financial services, health, manufacturing, consumer, industrial, technology, media, and retail, including percentile rank and peer comparison.
- Prioritized recommendations. Each action is classified critical, high, or quick win, scored by impact and implementation effort, and tied to the specific domain gap that produced it. PwC support is available on any item where deeper expertise is needed.
- A time-bound action plan. A 90-day, 6-month, and 12-month roadmap with milestones and expected outcomes. Scores update automatically as initiatives progress.
