As organizations accelerate investment in AI, many are still struggling to translate that momentum into meaningful business results.

Jeff Baker, Technology Managed Services Lead at PwC, sees a consistent pattern: Companies are experimenting with AI, but too often in ways that fail to scale or deliver measurable impact.

“The issue isn’t lack of investment,” he explains. “It’s that many organizations aren’t thinking big enough about what AI can actually do for the business.”

Instead of confining AI to isolated pilots or back-office use cases, Baker argues that CIOs should shift their approach, aligning technical capabilities directly with business requirements to unlock real business outcomes. To learn more, we connected with Baker at a recent gathering of CIOs in Atlanta.
